From 2006 to 2010, Whole Foods Market experienced notable growth, highlighted by its acquisition of Wild Oats Markets in 2007, which helped expand its presence and reinforce its leadership in natural and organic foods. Even during the 2008 financial crisis, Whole Foods Market managed to adapt by focusing on value and streamlining its operations. By 2010, the company had bolstered its reputation for quality and sustainability, continuing to expand and innovate within the grocery industry.
As the Regional Art Director for the Pacific Northwest Region from 2006 to 2010, I managed visual marketing for 18 stores across Washington (7), Oregon (8), and Vancouver, Canada (3). My role encompassed creating both national and regional marketing campaigns upholding and expanding brand standards, and training and mentoring a team of graphic designers within each store. Additionally, I lead visual marketing efforts for store openings and collaborated with external vendors to produce a wide range of collateral, including interior and exterior signage, environmental graphics, booklets, branded merchandise, packaging, and point-of-purchase displays.
Below are just a few diverse snapshots of my extensive work for Whole Foods Market.
