One Vanderbilt in NYC is a striking skyscraper and one of the tallest buildings in the city, located in Midtown Manhattan. With its modern design, high-end office spaces, and a public observation deck offering panoramic views of New York City, it stands out prominently in the skyline. Additionally, the building features a direct underground passage that connects seamlessly to Penn Station, providing easy transit access for tenants and visitors and integrating the skyscraper into the city's transit network.
Pentagram was commissioned to design and program Code and Wayfinding signage throughout the building and its connection to Penn Station. My role involved developing location plans, designing signage, and creating rendering studies for this project.
Below are selected visuals showing the Primary ID design and prototypes, wayfinding & code signage design and a few location plans meant to illustrate the project's complexity.
