Bleu Barn is a woman-owned, family-operated business specializing in local farm-to-table Americana cuisine. Their scratch-made food epitomizes an "elevated-fast casual kitchen," prioritizing sustainability and exceptional customer service. Initially established as a food truck and catering service (under the previous name Bleu Bistro), Bleu Barn has since expanded to a brick-and-mortar location within the emerging Charlotte development, Camp North End. I was commissioned to enhance their brand identity and design their food pavilion experience.
The shell of the food kiosk provided a beautiful starting point, utilizing thoughtfully reclaimed materials from the site.
The rebranding effort involved refining their existing identity by adjusting the primary brand color and introducing new typefaces for the logo and wordmark. Additionally, a placemaking illustration was created to enhance brand recall and generate Instagrammable moments.
Detailed renderings of the pavilion were developed, showcasing the design and layout. These renderings included exterior perspectives, highlighting the aesthetic and functional elements that align with the brand's vision. The visualization served as a crucial tool in communicating the architectural concept and ensuring that all design aspects met the brand's standards for sustainability and customer experience.
